CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Eligibility with Code | |||||||
The candidate must meet one of the following requirements: 1. Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and is either passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR 2. Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and is either passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, as per the NCTE 2002 Norms. OR 3. Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and is either passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR 4. Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and is either passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR 5. Hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and is either passed or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Those who have obtained a Bachelor of Education qualification from any NCTE recognized institution may be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. However, it is mandatory for the appointed person to undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of becoming a primary teacher. OR 6. Hold a Post-Graduation degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and is either passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program. | |||||||
